No TV at home really getting bored :@ When will the stupid board exams start for my sister :/ because of her no TV :( Studious girl she :) OMG She slees at 1.00am :O I never study like that :D

My resolution for this year.. hmmmm what shall I say... Argh!! I hardly follow resolutions. Its better I wont take ant like previous years. But since this Blog is sleeping for LooooooooooooonG Time, For the FIRST TIME n my life took a resolution that I will update this blog.... Now definitely this blog is gonna have the stupid things that are going to come out of my rusted brain :P Im sowie if I am wrong at any place :P and dont bother too much about my upcoming posts... Good that there is none following the blog for now :/

Harbhajan Singh's mother has filed a legal notice against a liquor company

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Spin bowler Harbhajan Singh's mother has filed a legal notice against a liquor company for running an advertisement in which captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni ridicules her son, local media reported on Tuesday.
Dhoni, promoting a UB Group brand in the commercial, mocks team mate Harbhajan's catchphrase from another advertisement promoting a rival product.
The spoof also shows a Harbhajan lookalike being slapped, something many feel was not in good taste.
Harbhajan's mother Avtar Kaur has asked the company to apologise through newspapers and television channels and withdraw the advertisement within three days of receiving the legal notice.
UB Group chief Vijay Mallya, however, has ruled out withdrawing the commercial, the Times of India newspaper reported.
"It was not meant to attack Harbhajan Singh personally. It was just a spoof between two brands," Mallya, who is also the head of Formula One team Force India, told the newspaper.
"There are several TV programmes that spoof our politicians. What will happen if all of them start sending legal notices?"
The bowler's agent claimed the brand rivalry would not sour the spinner's relation with his captain, saying their bond was too strong to be affected by the episode.
Harbhajan, who is the leading active wicket-taker in test cricket with 404 victims, will spearhead India's slow bowling options when Dhoni's men begin their four-match series against England at Lord's on Thursday.

Top Reasons Why Google+ May Leapfrog Facebook

The move is considered as Google's latest cum largest social effort and a strong reply to Facebook.
Despite initial hiccups such as running out of diskspace, Google+ has a solid chance to outrun Facebook.
"Google Social Networking offering "Google Plus" off to a very strong start - may leapfrog Facebook," Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry wrote in a note to clients.
The analyst said the network off to a solid start, with probably about 3 million to 3.5 million people signed up so far.
Paul Allen, founder of Ancestry.com, said there are more than 4.5 million people using Google+, leading him to believe that this social site "is Growing Like Crazy."
Google has attacked the Social Networking space with significant key innovations, including Circles, Sparks and Hangouts.

"These innovations significantly improve the usability, monetizability and user control in Google Plus," Chowdhry said.
"Converged view is "Google Plus puts Facebook back to the Drawing Board. Facebook has got too "cluttered over time" was a common complaint we heard," the analyst added.
Google+ offers an altogether different model of social networking.
Google+ contains the best of Facebook: sharing and discussing status updates, photos and links, but avoids the worst: It allows you to send different updates to discreet groups, instead of worrying about sharing everything to your 10,000 contacts or everyone on the Web.
Apart from a very attractive and enticing user interface, Google has millions of users availing of its free services like email, Docs etc. besides enjoying a near monopoly in search business, which Facebook and Twitter don't have.
The biggest dazzle Google+ has is integration. Almost all the existing Google online services, from Search to Documents to Video, have combined together with Google+. If you've used any Google products before, you might be surprised that information is automatically imported to your new Google+ account. Without ever leaving the current Google service you are using, you can monitor all Google+ events (updates, messages, etc.) as well as share content with friends.
As Google+ offers to integrate its social line into the whole range of free Google service, why would millions of those people ever want to go to another website for purely social networking purpose?
The core of Google+ is a feature called 'Circles' which helps a member organize different kinds of friends at various levels and control the way process of sharing.
The 'Circles' concept presents a way to find friends and socialize with them in a more direct, real-life method. Google says the Google+ model is different from the Facebook model, which doesn't distinguish between family, close friends and acquaintance.
Google+ users can unleash the power of Google search and share with their friends' real time data coming through Google search. Google has named this feature +Sparks. This means a Google+ user is no longer groping in the dark as to what to share to friends, while Facebook users would still be doing so.
Google+ offers video chat service called +Hangout, which will score a point over Facebook. Google+ allows to you to do group chat with up 10 people. We can leave video message- it supports Windows, Mac and Linux. While, Facebook video chat don't allow group chat and it doesn't seem to support Linux yet.
Meanwhile, Google's YouTube with a massive user base of 490 million users worldwide and adding an integrated Google+ could create a synergy could make it compelling for people to join the Google+ network for additional viral capacity horsepower.
Privacy:
Better privacy settings can be a big plus for Google+ it has been reported. There have been cases of Facebook users quitting the site en masse, unsatisfied by the privacy aspect.
Though, Facebook allows users to download their account information, Facebook makes it hard to exit. Users must wait for two weeks in a 'deactivation' period, after these weeks the account is 'permanently deleted from Facebook. Google already has a much easier system for users exiting services.
If you fear being bombarded with what all the 'friends' are sharing, without being able to pick and choose who you would like to interact with and what level, then you would certainly find more peace at Google+.
In addition, Google is expecting to make changes this week while it is still on the Beta phase. On his Google+ page, Vic Gundotra, senior vice president of engineering at Google, wrote asking his followers to look for changes this week after the service spammed its users on Saturday - an accident caused due to a disk space shortage problem.
"Lots of criticism for Google+. We are listening and working to address. Stay tuned for changes this week," Gundotra wrote on his Google+ wall.
On the other hand, Facebook played catch up to Google+ Hangouts feature to offer video chat inside of its pages by partnering with Skype.
Facebook, which has more than 750 million users, has the early mover advantage and has host of third party apps like Zynga's Farmville. Recently, the social networking giant is said to launch a music service.
Tech blogger Jeff Rose claimed on his blog "Life is a Graph," that he has uncovered a new Facebook service, possibly referred to internally as "vibes" and it could be related to the company's rumored music service.
But what Google lacks in social experience, it certainly makes up for in resources and general reach.
Google is the most trafficked site in the world. The plain fact that Facebook doesn't have a search engine will give Google enormous advantage.
With portal-like tendencies, like hosted email and news, and housing the most familiar, and arguably the most effective search engine in existence, Google acts as the "front-door" to the rest of the Internet.
In May of this year, more than 1 billion people visited Google properties, more than any other company at any point in time.
The implications of this are huge. Instead of creating a social network "destination" on the Internet, Google can, in-fact, turn the whole of the Internet social.
With recent overtures to partner with Facebook and Twitter rebuffed, Google may have to do just that to accomplish its end-goal.

Meanwhile, the launch of Google Plus private beta has led to many Google Plus users to also sign up for Google Voice.
"So far, it seems like almost all the people who signed up for Google Plus also have a Gmail account. Converged view is that there are about 170 million active Gmail users worldwide," Chowdhry added.
Developers have created multiple applications to move users from Facebook and into Google Plus. Move2Picasa application is right now the most popular application to move Photos from Facebook into Google Plus, which uses Picasa for Photos, the analyst said.

MELBOURNE (Reuters Life!) - You can do a lot with an iPhone these days -- text, take pictures, surf the net, and even make a phone call.

And soon, thanks to two Australian entrepreneurs, you will be able use it to open a bottle of beer by way of the "Opena," a hard plastic case that fits over the iPhone and is equipped with a slide-out bottle opener.

"Basically, Australians are fairly heavy drinkers, as you may or may not know," said Melbourne-based Chris Peters, an industrial designer who developed the product with Rob Ward, a former toolmaker.

"We're always out at friends' houses and so on, and in some cases you may not have your keys on you... So we thought, why don't we attach a bottle opener to an iPhone case? We always have our phones on us."

Working from three basic rules -- the case had to be slim, there had to be no chance of the opener scratching the iPhone, and the opener had to work without putting any pressure on the phone -- the two developed a prototype.

Testing including running through what a promotional video termed "the worst case scenario" in which a friend has shaken up the beer and it foams over. The case -- and the iPhone -- came through unscathed every time.

Aside from a few initial glitches because the first prototypes were too weak, development went smoothly. Start-up funding via an internet site that allows anybody to pitch in, has also gone well, enabling a sales launch within weeks.

"The strangest thing that happened was when we were doing the filming for the video and we had a courier drop off a parcel," Peters said.

"He gave us some very unusual looks when we had about 20 open beers at seven in the morning."

Though some who posted on the pair's Facebook page expressed doubt about the wisdom of putting a phone that close to a foaming beverage, the response was mainly positive.

"Finally I can combine my love of drinking and tech," one said.

Washington: A new reality show is seeking people who love and hate celebrities.

Doron Ofir Casting, in association with Warner Horizon Television want people to participate in the show slated to be on air this fall.

“The phenomenon of hating celebrities has really grown to epic proportions, from Charlie Sheen to Paris Hilton to Lindsay Lohan,” Fox News quoted Doron Ofir, Executive Casting Director, as saying.

“Then we have athletes like LeBron James and Kobe Bryant to musicians like Chris Brown and Lil’ Wayne... It’s my favourite pastime to add my two cents about these people, so it made sense to have a show, which brings this to life.

“I’m seeking quick-witted, fun and outgoing teams of two who know, relish or loathe about every second of a certain person’s fame,” he added.

Confirmed: Women are worse drivers than men!

London, July 08 (ANI): It is official. Scientists have discovered that women drivers are more dangerous behind the wheel.

A University of Michigan study found that female drivers get in more accidents despite driving less often than men do.

Researchers looked at 6.5million car crashes and found a higher than expected number of accidents between two female drivers.

They also discovered that women have a tough time negotiating crossroads, T-junctions and slip roads.
The results are even more surprising given that men spend more time behind the wheel than women. On average, men drive 60 percent of the time, and women 40 percent.

"The results indicate that in certain crash scenarios, male-to-male crashes tend to be under-represented and female-to-female crashes tend to be over-represented," the Daily Mail quoted Michael Sivak, of the University of Michigan, as saying.

The scientists also found that women were more likely than men to crash at a junction - their cars are often hit on the left-hand side when trying to make a right-hand turn, and vice versa.
Sivak said this might be due to height difference between the sexes.

He said: "There are three dominant driver-related factors, including the probability of being at the wrong place at the wrong time, one's own driving skills and the driving skills of the other driver involved." (ANI)

Maruti stops Swift production

India’s largest carmaker Maruti has ended the production of its highly selling premium hatchback Swift, to make way for the next generation Swift, which will be launched in late August or early September.

Dealers have started accepting bookings for the new Swift. Maruti has codenamed the new Swift as YP8 and its trial runs are on in the Manesar plant, reports Economic Times.

According to a report in Business Standard, The car will come with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel variants. It was reported that the new model, built on a slightly longer yet new platform, will be little extra roomy, lighter and return better mileage than the current generation Swift. Besides, engineers have also achieved a substantial reduction in the overall weight of the car by replacing the metal fuel tank with a plastic tank. This will improve its fuel efficiency by a little over 13 per cent. This will be the first major face-lift for the Swift since it was launched six years ago. Pricing details of the new car has not been shared by the company.

It was also reported that the new Swift will be produced at the company’s Manesar facility in Haryana, which has recently seen labour unrest. The petrol variant will return a mileage of around 20 km a litre, as compared to 17.9 km per litre certified by the Automotive Research Association of India. Similarly, the diesel model will deliver around 23.8 km per litre, as against the existing 21 km a litre.

The report stated that for installing the plastic fuel tanks, Maruti Suzuki India has tied up with France’s Plastic Omnium, the world’s largest manufacturer of plastic fuel tanks as it was mentioned that plastic fuel tanks are usually 25-35 per cent lighter than the conventional metal tanks. Besides, these are corrosion-free, durable, non-explosive and easily recyclable. Maruti Suzuki India has entered into a tripartite joint venture with Suzuki Motor Corporation and Plastic Omnium to manufacture fuel tanks at the Manesar facility. The new plastic tank manufacturing facility, Inergy Automotive Systems Manufacturing India Private Ltd, was inaugurated in Manesar on Monday.

According to the report, Maruti may also offer a four-speed automatic transmission option in the petrol version, besides the regular five-speed manual. The Swift which is available now in petrol, diesel and CNG versions and priced between Rs 3.9-5.5 lakh, sells close to 12,000 units every month. It recorded a growth of 21 per cent last year selling over 140,000 units as against 116,000 units sold in the previous year. The Swift accounts for about 25 per cent of the hatchback segment, and competes with Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo, Skoda Fabia, Nissan Micra, Fiat Punto and Toyota Liva. It was also mentioned that Maruti is also preparing to launch a new Swift Dzire, which will be cheaper and will probably hit the market by early 2012.
